Allergy-Friendly Trick-or-Treating at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Walt Disney World Resort offers special Allergy-Friendly Treat options for guests that have dietary restrictions and allergies!
I was thrilled to try this option out this year as I am gluten free and need to watch my sugar intake - so this was definitely fun for me to experience. It must be absolutely incredible for kids with dietary restrictions to have this option and participate along with the other kids in the park.
When you go to pick-up your treat bag be sure to let the cast member know that you'd like the allergy-friendly bag. They will hand you a turquoise bag rather than the regular bag. Be sure to present this bag at all the stops, even if you have your own cute bag with you - it'll be easier and quicker for cast members to identify what you need. Once they see your special bag they will provide you with a turquoise chip to put in your bag. This ensures that the Trick-or-Treater gets items that cater to them.
When you're done with the experience, you just take the chips to one of the exchange locations (either Main Street U.S.A. Town Square Theater or Liberty Square - Liberty Square Ticket Office) and they will present you with a menu of items along with important nutritional information so that you can make the best selections. I half expected I would get one piece of candy per chip I had, but they were really very generous with the items as they had been with my husband collecting the regular candy at each of the stops.
Here are some of the different items that I picked up from the Allergy-Friendly experience
